The day of ‘Arafat is the 9th day of the month of Zil Ḥijjah on the Islamic calendar. It occurs near the end of the pilgrimage Hajj as pilgrims stand on the plain of ‘Arafat to perform supplications, prayers, and acts of worship (ibadah).About 2 million pilgrims or more attend the plain of ‘Arafat during each yearly pilgrimage. This event is the culmination and the end of the Ḥajj pilgrimage, the most significant ritual for the pilgrims. It is also the day that the Prophet (PBUH) delivered His famous farewell sermon that declared the purity of human life and an end to racism.

Verse 5:3 of Holy Quran,

Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than ALLAH, and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favour upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin – then indeed, ALLAH is Forgiving and Merciful.

‘Arafat is one of the most blessed times in religion Islam because ALLAH Almighty frees more Muslims from Hellfire and expiates more sins on this blessed day than any other day. As such, it is one of the most excellent days to strive in worship (ibadah), good deeds, and specially to increase our supplications. Among the most excellent supplications to say during ‘Arafaat are those declaring the oneness, greatness, and praise of ALLAH Almighty.

Pilgrims must also remember to pray for their loved ones, the Muslims, the righteous, and humankind at large. At the similar time, Muslims who are not performing the pilgrimage must pray for those who are. If we meet any pilgrims on their voyage, we should honour them as they are the guests of ALLAH Almighty.

In addition, the day of ‘Arafat is among the holiest times of the year in religion Islam. It commemorates the finality of revelation and the conclusion of the Ḥajj pilgrimage. We must increase our good deeds, prayers, and supplications during this blessed time. If we are not present at ‘Arafat, if we are on the plain of ‘Arafat, it is most excellent to save our strength for worship (ibadah). is one of the authorized Hajj and Umrah travel agent based in UK, offers a range of Cheapest Hajj Packages 2017 in UK.
